Hourly Photos of LeeLoo XV

About the process

Throughout the process of painting Leeloo XV, I took a photograph after every hour that I painted. The slight shifts in colour and brightness seen in the resulting images are due to the time of day I took the photo.

The painting took 60 hours to paint over a three month period.

The aim of the project was to show my painting process, as this is one of the most frequent questions I get asked. It also acted as a means of self-reflection on the way I work.

Leeloo XV is part of an ongoing series started in 2004. For this painting I have added references to 3D anaglyph imagery.
